For the Junk Building exhibition (Triennale Bovisa, June 2008), the a12 group was invited to curate a section and decided to call upon a series of friends and colleagues to complete an imaginary abacus of small spaces to be treated with kindness.
The choice was to create a cycle-friendly system of ten small architectural structures capable of showcasing an equal number of unused spaces or sites with potential spatial interest in the city of Milan. The idea was that these small, ephemeral structures could function as little theaters, projection rooms, or listening spaces.
The project was also exhibited at the Castello Aragonese in Ischia for the Locale/Globale exhibition, where it won third prize.
